What is PVC coated mesh?
PVC coated mesh is a welded wire mesh with a UV-stabilised PVC layer over the wire. The PVC coat gives excellent weather resistance, a clean appearance and a softer feel than bare metal - making it popular for balconies, pet enclosures and garden fencing where it is visible and touched.
PVC coated mesh sizes for balconies
| Height | Opening | Typical use | Indicative price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 ft | 25-50 mm | Low balconies, pet enclosures | Rs55-65/sqft |
| 4.5 ft | 25-50 mm | Standard balconies | Rs60-70/sqft |
| 5 ft | 25-75 mm | Full balcony enclosures | Rs65-75/sqft |
| 6.5 ft | 50-75 mm | High enclosures, terraces | Rs70-85/sqft |
How to choose the right height and opening
Match the height to your railing - 4.5 ft suits most apartment balconies, 5 ft for full enclosures, 6.5 ft for terraces. For the opening, 25 mm keeps small pets and birds in, 50-75 mm is fine for general enclosure and airflow. Smaller openings look denser; larger ones are more see-through.
How much does PVC mesh cost in Noida?
Indicative prices range Rs55-85/sqft depending on height, opening and wire gauge. Rolls come in 18 m lengths. Bulk orders attract wholesale rates. For an exact quote on your balcony area, call or WhatsApp 9910238277.
How is PVC coated mesh installed on a balcony?
Installation is frame-based: fix a lightweight frame (aluminium or GI) around the balcony opening, stretch the mesh, and secure it with zip ties, hooks or self-tapping screws. Tension the mesh evenly so it sits flat. For a clean look, trim flush to the frame. Most balconies can be enclosed in a few hours.
PVC mesh vs nylon bird mesh for balconies
PVC coated wire mesh is rigid and structural - it encloses and contains. Nylon bird mesh is fine and almost invisible - it stops birds but is not structural. For pet/child safety plus enclosure, PVC mesh is the right pick; for pure bird-proofing, nylon mesh is more discreet.
